Three journalists were forcefully ejected from the Nyandarua County Assembly hall after a fight broke out in the hall between the Members of the County Assembly.
The journalists were forced out from the chambers by the Sergent at Arms, at the order of embattled Speaker, Wahome Ndegwa.
The security at the chambers allegedly attacked the journalists, among them the Radio Africa Group’s reporter Ndichu Wainaina, Kameme FM reporter Jimmy Muguo and Sauti ya Mwananchi journalist Jathan Kamau.
Royal Media Services reporter Patris Simbili got hit on his head, sustaining injuries.
Chaos broke after ward representatives got into a disagreement over plans to oust Speaker Wahome Ndegwa, for failing to recognize new house leaders.
The reps also accused the journalists of filing stories without consulting them.
