Former Nairobi Governor, Evans Kidero’s son Ronald Kidero was on Thursday evening arrested hours after the ex county boss was charged with three corruption related cases.
Ronald is said to have been momentarily held at Central Police Station before being moved to Gigiri police station.
Sources say that the businessman who runs the Kidero Foundation was apprehended for selling adulterated fuel to a motorist along Kiambu Road.
It is said that the unidentified motorist complained that after fuelling his car at the petrol station did his car start malfunctioning.
According to a local daily, Ronald will most likely be charged with malicious damage to property.
His father was later on on Thursday granted a Sh2 million bail which could not be processed on time forcing him to spend the night in cell.
Kidero was charged with conspiring to commit an offense of fraud and two counts of dealing with suspect property leading to loss of public funds alongside nine others.
He is also said to have received a benefit of Sh24 million from Lodwar Wholesalers Limited.
