Sauti Sol was forced to apologize to their Rwandese fans after their scheduled performance at the Pan African Dance Festival (FESPAD) at Amuhoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda was cancelled.
The boy band faults the organizers for not scheduling their flight to arrive in good time for their performance.
Their flight was scheduled to arrive in Kigali at 9.30 yet the Festival was ending at 10.30. They tried their best to make it to the Stadium on time but they wee told that they could not perform because the Festival was over.
The Rwandan Minister for Sports & Culture apologized to the fans and the group for the failure of the performance, taking responsibility and promised it will not happen again.
I and the staff of the Ministry of Sports & Culture deeply regret our failure to host the FESPAD launch that both the artists and the Rwandan public deserve. We apologize to @sautisol,every artist as well as to Rwandan fans for this failure. The lessons learned will not be wasted.
