Victor Wanyama is back with Tottenham Hostpur for preseason training in London ahead of the new Premier League season next month.
After a low key 2017-18 season dogged with injuries and minimal play-time, the midfielder returned to Kenya to recharge at the end of it.
While at home, the celebrated son of the soil got busy with the youth as he organized a tournament for them to help nurture their talents.
The Harambee Stars skipper, who was always seen in public with his Italy-based brother MacDonald Mariga, also holidayed in Zanzibar.
But now the hard work begins as he seeks to get in shape for the new season which begins with an away match to Newcastle United on 11 August.
Before then, he will travel the team to the US for a preseason tour where they will play build-up matches.
“As usual, the players undertook a combination of ball and fitness work as preparations continued for our US tour, which begins against Italian side Roma in San Diago on Wednesday 25 July,” the club said after day-four of the preseason Thursday.
