NASA Leader Raila Odinga has revealed that compensation of the 2017 poll victims was part of the talks with president Uhuru Kenyatta.
He revealed that the government will compensate the victims who were mainly from the areas of the country that supported NASA. Raila said that the compensation would be among the injustices that would be addressed.
He also revealed that suspects that were facing charges in relation to his swearing in ceremony would be released and their charges dropped. He guaranteed the people of Kisumu that Miguna Miguna who was deported on account of facilitating the ceremony would be safely allowed into the country.
He also said that the talks were based on the two leaders as individuals and that it was not a meeting of NASA and Jubilee.
Raila who has received praise after the handshake was lauded by Jubilee leaders who said that they wanted the post of prime minister re introduced so that Raila is able to work and be paid while re uniting the country.
The meeting of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga came as a shock to many Kenyans and has caused a lot of jitters among the Nasa coalition.
