Royal media services is now facing problems for failing to hire former Nation Media group (NMG) general manager Linus Kaikai.
Part of the deal to hire the former NMG boss was that Royal media services would take liability for liability for a mortgage and regular Sacco loans he owed amounting to over Ksh20 million.
Sources at the both the communication companies told Business today that the veteran journalist was awarded the loans by virtue that he was in senior position and was entitled to mortgage and a car loan as their retention policy.
Royal media services have agreed to maintain Linus Kaikai as a consultant in order to be able to service the loans that they had undertaken to clear before state house ordered that they should not hire Linus Kaikai.
Linus Kaikai was slated to take the position of Faridah Karoney as Royal Media Services (RMS) Chief Operations Officer but it is alleged that state house called the vice chairperson Purity Macharia and advised against hiring the veteran journalist.
