mudavadi, wetangula, kalonzoOrange Democratic Movement (ODM) supporters have accused ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula of betraying now People’s President Raila Odinga.

Odinga took the ‘oath’ of office without his deputy, Kalonzo Musyoka who he assured the people, would be sworn in as the deputy People’s President at a later date.

Musalia and Wetangula were also missing when the former PM took the ‘oath.’

But Kahawa Tungu has learnt that the two, Musalia and Wetangula abandoned the course a long time ago but could not convince Odinga to do the same.

A blog associated with ODM reports that all the four NASA principals were on board with the swearing in ceremony idea until this morning (Tuesday) when the two met with US Ambassador, Robert Godec.

It is during the meeting that they brokered a deal that would see the long awaited ceremony halted. The two later had a meeting with Deputy President William Ruto where they finalized the deal.

Apparently, the blog reports, the two together with Ruto thought it wise to withdraw Kalonzo’s security detail to see if he would barge, and barge he did.

Wetangula and Musalia then called Odinga, asked him to postpone the ceremony. They allegedly needed to iron out some issues before he and Musyoka took the controversial oath.

But Odinga was adamant that he was going to be sworn in with or without them. In fact, the blog reports, the People’s President did not read the speech that had been prepared for him. Instead he gave what felt like an ill-prepared speech and quickly took off.

Earlier on in the day, while speaking to journalists outside his Karen home, when asked about the swearing in, Kalonzo was non-committal but assured his supporters that they were still in consultations.
