Deputy President William Ruto has dismissed talks on 2022 saying that those talks were premature. He cautioned Jubilee leaders terming the talks on succession as useless political debates.
He took to twitter to tell the leaders that they should instead focus their energy on implementing the Jubilee manifesto that was voted for and that they should also give the president room to choose the cabinet and perform his mandate.
Kenyans, more so jubilee should avoid useless political debates about positions including 2022 and focus singlemindedly on delivering our manifesto voted for by the people while allowing the President the space to perform his constitutional duty to assemble the team for us.

Leaders from the Jubilee coalition have already initiated the 2022 political debate. Moses Kuria of Gatundu South had indicated that Ruto will have the full support of the mount Kenya region as his region has always given them support.
There has been speculation of a fall out between the president and his deputy after the president made some changes to the cabinet and made the announcement in the absence of deputy president William Ruto.
The office of the deputy president has dismissed the fall out saying that it was not necessary for him to be president during such an announcement. Kenyans had gotten used to both the president and his deputy being present in such occasions.
