Kenyan International star Allan Wanga has landed a county government position as sports director. Governor Wycliffe Oparanya took to twitter to make the appointment public.
He said that the move to appoint Allan Wanga was to bring forward the potential talent that the county has often produced.
In appointing Allan Wanga as Director of Sports in my Administration, I expect more talents in the villages to be tapped and bring out their potential to the fore. As a County, we have produced many sports personalities in different disciplines and we are proud of that.

The new position will see him oversee and manage development of sports in the county.
earlier in the week the Kakamega CEC on sports had denied the appointment of the football star but had indicated that the governor had made some appointments in his discretion.
Allan Wanga recently signed with Kakamega Homeboyz, a football club based in the county.
