Daystar University was closed down after students complained of the dilapidated facilities and also mismanagement by the current Vice Chancellor Timothy Wachira. The vice chancellor said that the students had refused to dialogue with the management.
The student leaders also accused the university and parents association leadership for using tribal inclination as a means of quelling the protest.
