Rapper Nyashinski

Musician Nyashinski been on the limelight this week for allegedly asking to be paid Sh.1 million to appear on popular TV program the trend.

Artists have justified the demand saying that Nyashinski had already built a brand and that he should be paid for it.

This latest stunt by Nyashinski is an illustration of what the promoters  go though when dealing with some of this celebrities .Some of them have some unrealistic demands to event organizers and complain of mistreatment if not met.

The Nairobian newspaper highlighted some of the unrealistic demands that the celebrities ask for.

Artist Vivian Wambui said that she need the following items for her to brace an event;a full length make up mirror, clothes rack, sic chairs and an electric kettle . But Why would someone need an electric kettle to an event?

She also has an expensive pallet as she also prefers to be offered hot salmon fish meals and Kellog cornflakes.

Rapper Khaligraph Jones has to have a bottle of champagne backstage for him and his crew and that the champagne must be kept flowing. He specifies that the bottle has to be Bellaire Champagne.

He demands to be booked in five star hotel alongside his crew and that comes with bodyguards. This however seems to be an international problem you will need approximately Sh4 million to host Tanzanian Musician Diamond Platnumz.

For his performance he needs two wireless Sure Brand microphones, pioneer DJ mix machines with two decks and another microphone, a glass stage with trussing and decorated with LED lights with moving heads. The backstage should be well equipped with air condition and six personnel; four being security, one waitress, and one representative from the organizers side, water, juices, and snacks.

African Musicians are borrowing heavily from international artists such as Mariah Carey but their brands are not yet at par with the recognition that such an international artist enjoys.

Events organizers said that they have to meet these demands in order for their shows to flow.
