Activist Japheth Moroko of the famous “baba while you were away” phrase has allegedly gone missing.

Moroko who had petitioned Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko win on grounds that the election was not conducted in an impartial, neutral and efficient manner was allegedly picked by police and his whereabouts are unknown.

Known as a unyielding supporter of opposition leader Raila Odinga, Moroko in his petition claimed former Governor Evans Kidero’s agents and those of other candidates were denied access to most polling stations.

Muroko also alleged some agents were allowed to access specific stations after voting has taken place and noted massive systematic and deliberate noncompliance with the constitution and Election Laws.

During one of early this year’s anti IEBC demos, Moroko who was seated on the tarmac behind Raila was caught by police and beaten to a pulp. This and his unwavering loyalty saw his name make it to list of nominations.
