Chris Kirubi, businessman and philanthropist was reportedly airlifted to the United States (US) in critical condition for an operation on Wednesday.
The Centum Investment Director had been admitted for 12 days at the Nairobi Hospital.
Earlier reports indicated that the 76 year old entrepreneur was fighting for his life at the Karen Hospital.
But according to Centum CEO, James Mworia, the business man was never in critical condition and is in the US for specialized treatment.
Mr Mworia refutes claims of Kirubi ever being treated in the ICU saying that he has been receiving treatment in Kenya for the past two weeks.
CK as he is popularly known, left the country on Monday, 6 November, read a memo.
”Dr Kirubi… travelled to the United States for further investigations on Monday.”
“Instead, Dr Kirubi, whom I spent time with on Monday and saw off at the airport, and have spoken to on multiple occasions since, remains in good spirits and actively engaged on business matters in his usual endearing fashion,” Mworia said.
