NTV’s senior editor, Pamela Asigi on Monday alleged that the arms found in business mogul, Jimmy Wanjigi’s Malindi house were planted.

According to her, the plan was hatched on Friday but failed to materialize.

She says: ”Interested parties push for a story on weapons recovery on a Friday and then it fails to materialize.”

The Friday tip off on Monday gave way hence the Malindi raid where 5 AK-47 rifles and 93 bullets were discovered.

The editor alleges that ‘the script was well written yesterday (Monday) and actors seemingly briefed accordingly.’

According to NASA’s Junet Mohammed, ‘Wanjigi is being tormented because of his association with NASA, he is being haunted because he switched to NASA and it appears some quarters are not happy.’

James Orengo, said the raid was illegal as the officers did not have with them an arrest warrant.

It has been said that the government is trying to frame the businessman.

More officers have been deployed to his Muthaiga home this morning, carrying tools including sledge hammers.
