All said and done, you can’t get into Big Brother Africa without some connections with the people in the media. In Kenya, Capital FM is the official media station for the show. So most of the time you will find that the contestant representing Kenya has strong links to Capital FM people.

But I just don’t know what to say about this year’s contestant. Apart from him having a younger brother in Sauti Sol (Bien-Aime Baraza Alusa), Melvin Alusa is also a talented young man. He has a stable family and job going on for him. It will be very interesting to see how he performs in the house compared to others who have represented the country before.

Melvin was a surprise guest in the last Big Brother house. He even made Annabel Mbaru from Kenya cry after telling her that she was being nominated all the time because she was not getting along with anybody. Local blogs like Ghafla also rumoured Melvin as the Kenyan rep in the 2013 edition of Big Brother Africa.
