Microsoft yesterday announced that it has sold more than 450 million copies of Windows 7. Microsoft president of  Windows division, Steven Sinofsky, also announced in a release that Windows 7 is now being used by more people than Windows XP.

Sinofsky was making these announcements while launching Windows 8 at the Microsoft Build conference in Anaheim, California yesterday. He also announced that Microsoft has delivered over 1,500 changed to Windows 7 since unveiling into the market and that the flagship OS is now being used more widely than Windows XP.

Sinofsky also announced that over 542 Million people worldwide are now using Windows Live.
